A Bit About Me
Tyler A. Williams, M.S. has distinguished herself as a motivated professional, lifelong learner, and community leader. With her unique blend of athletic administrative experience at the conference office and institutional level coupled with her involvement as a volleyball student-athlete, she brings a unique perspective to the sports landscape.

While pursuing her education, Tyler serves as the Associate Commissioner of a NCAA Division 3 conference office with nine member institutions and 14 sponsored sports. Prior to, she has spent seven years working in communications and administrative positions. Most recently, her work at the SIAC as the Associate Commissioner of Communications and Senior Woman Administrator where she oversees 15 collegiate institutions athletic communication strategies that span seven states and manages post-season championship events for the league. She has worked with high-level brands such as ESPN, Toyota, Home Depot, Cricket Wireless, UBS, Academy Sports, the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), GEICO, the National Football League (NFL), mogoSME, FloSports among others. Her industry experience has informed her graduate studies research and has enabled her to build strong instrustry connections.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communication and Public Relations
-Provides oversight to public relation initiatives and integrated communications and marketing strategies for the league that supports the NCAA and the conference's mission during the regular season and post-season
-Serves as liaison to the league's media personnel, corporate partners, and administration on behalf of 15 member institutions
-Manages media operations for league events
-Collaborates with marketing and sports information teams on communication and marketing initiatives
-Served as tournament manager for all sports championships overseeing 3,500 athletes, media, fans, and administration
-Manages annual media rights agreement through coordination of over 50+ games aired nationally per year

External Affairs
-Under the guidance of the Commissioner, successfully served as the primary contact for the coordination of SIAC Conference tournaments and championships, including, but not limited to, the development of championship sport manuals, working with host institutions to secure hotel rooms for visiting teams and officials, arranging for preliminary participant calls, site visits as necessary, championship merchandise design, ordering and sales, and promotion of the championships.
-Serving as the conference sports information director and supervising all associated activities
-Maintain and service contracts with all outsourced services utilized by the conference
-Serves as the grant administrator for NBPA and men's volleyball grants
Membership Services
-Assisting with the day-to-day administration of conference policies and procedures
-Managing the various awards programs already established within SIAC and NCAA by assisting in the oversight of nominations and voting procedures
-Responsible for the timely and accurate updating and management of the official athletics website
-Ensures all corporate partnerships are compliant with written guidelines
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
-Successfully managed an NCAA athletic conferences grant that equaled approximately $2 million over a three-year period, the highest of any D2 conference that year.
-Assisted in partnership with SME to complete a comprehensive league rebrand.
-Assisted in partnership with NBPA and the SWAC to improve and enhance the number of NBA Players and provided college basketball head coaching opportunities.
-Headed partnership with the Google Foundation and created 11 separate digital student recruitment platforms targeting secondary school students in Africa, Latin America, India, China, Brazil, and throughout the Caribbean.
-Managed seven-figure six-year ESPN media rights agreement – among the largest in NCAA DII history.
-Launched historic men’s volleyball initiative with the support of a $1m grant from First Point Volleyball Foundation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Responsibilities included but were not limited to running drills, facilitating individual training sessions, assisting in practice planning and implementation, and in-game coaching.
-Demonstrated the ability to work within a staff and be a team player.
-Responsible for working closely with players and demonstrated ability to embody cultural values and vision of the program.
